Simon was asked recently what he thought about Clay Aiken's admission to taking anti-depressants to help deal with the fame associated with AI. True to form, Simon did not hold back. He said, "Oh give me a break. Let me have a choice, I'm going to work in a coal mine for 14 hours a day or I'm going to be a runner-up on 'American Idol.' Give me a break, idiot."

In a two-part interview starting Wednesday with ABC's Diane Sawyer, Clay Aiken opens up about his debilitating struggle with panic attacks and how he's been able to control them by using Paxil, an antidepressant.
