Studio and label reps think that Kelly Clarkson should lose some weight. I find that interesting considering the general public has accepted Kelly as is. Her numbers have never been affected by her physical appearance. But a source close to Kelly is saying that the singer is starting to cave in on her weight “issue” and is trying to lose 25 pounds. She has become depressed over her size and wants to shape up before her summer tour.

Taylor Hicks is feeling lighter on his feet for good reason, PEOPLE reveals in its new issue.
The 6'1" Soul Patrol singer has shed nearly 22 lbs., going from 215 to 193, since his American Idol win last May. How'd he do it? By ditching fast food and such southern comforts as fried chicken. In their place: Salads, brown rice, fish and chicken noodle soup. "It's good for your throat," he says. "It's also comforting, but it's light."

Ruben Studdard has lost nearly 100 pounds by cutting back on his food. He used to weigh more than 400 pounds.
Studdard told NBC's "Today" show that he was put on a 1,200-1,500-calorie diet at a weight management center at Duke University. He says he's now a vegetarian.
Studdard has a new album coming out October 17. He says he called it "The Return" because not many people bought his inspirational album, and some thought he hadn't recorded in a while.
